Due to the improvements in technology regarding digital cameras, digital images have become extremely popular. Nowadays, it's not difficult to get a cheap digital camera that can create astonishing photos that a few years ago were only a dream. But a great photo can lose its glow if it's viewed in bad conditions. That means displaying every photo using the Windows default image viewer. Using the slideshow feature in Windows doesn't fix this problem, as this feature is extremely limited in features and options. A much better idea would be using a specialized software for displaying images. One such program is MemoriesOnTV. As the name suggests, the program allows one to create slideshows CDs and DVDs that can be played using any DVD player that can be connected to a TV. This way, the photos can be viewed by anyone, even by non-computer users.

The program installs in a flash and supports almost any version of the Windows environment, including XP and Windows 7. All that's required for running the program is an average computer and a DVD writer. When running the program for the first time, a sample project will be loaded. The user just needs to select all the photos that he would like to add to the slideshow.

One can easily create a DVD menu by selecting a background image from the ones provided by the application and by entering the title and the album's name. MemoriesOnTV allows adding an unlimited number of albums. Selecting the album for viewing can be easily done by using the remote of the DVD player, just like browsing through the menu of a regular video DVD. Image transitions can be set to random or can be set to a specific type.

Besides adding photos, MemoriesOnTV allows adding music files, for playing while the slideshow is running. In case the user wants to use a project later on, he can save it as a file. MemoriesOnTV allows customizing the slideshow format, by choosing between normal and wide screen. Furthermore, the quality of the music file can be customized.
